It’s time for the paradigm shift on what society believes you need to do to succeed in life, and expand your mind into what is available at your fingertips. With the constant expansion of technology and what it has to offer us, new income streams are always forming. I will do my best to encompass many, but far from all potential ways for profit.
Like many, I went to college, got a 4 year degree, moved away from home and established my first corporate salary job. For 4 1/2 years I worked hard, was promoted quickly and was even able to move out of the claustrophobic walls of the cubical to an office with a window. Wow! A dream come true! – Not. I barely ever looked out that window. My face was either tied to the computer, or tied to a phone call looking at the computer screen. I felt like my butt was taking shape of the office chair I sat in. The excitement of my day was stopping for a meeting in which I was able to stretch my legs and talk to another person face-to-face. How was this going to be the end game? How was I supposed to be okay doing this for the next 40 years?
I parted ways and changed careers entirely. I didn’t care if I wasn’t making that big salary anymore. I was going to go into business for myself, stop working for “the man” and take life by the reigns. It hasn’t been easy, but what entrepreneur ever said it was? Do I work stranger hours? Definitely. Do I miss my old life. Nope. Freedom is out there, and I’m finding it.
